Structure - Collaboration and Release Policy
The goal of the Structure Initiative is to promote the determination of the structure of the supramolecular complexes that mediate cell migration. Thus structural targets are being chosen for their contribution to the broader goals of the Initiative as well as feasibility. The determination of these structures is time consuming and challenging, and usually benefit from collaborative efforts between small groups of investigators within and outside the Consortium (the Development Team). If expression constructs are developed in the course of these determinations, they will be posted on this website and made available when the manuscript describing the study is accepted for publication. In addition, protocols representing any new methodologies will be similarly posted on the website. Detailed data from these structures will be made available to the public and CMC members outside of the Development Team once the manuscript describing them is accepted for publication or otherwise made public. The structures determined through this Initiative will be deposited in the PDB protein structure data base and published in the standard way.
Please contact us if you have determined the structure of a migration related molecule or assembly and would like us to post it on our website or think it might be useful for our larger goals. If you are considering determining a relevant structure, please contact us so we can coordinate to avoid overlap or duplication of effort.
